Does anyone know what the name of this card trick is?

My mate won’t tell me the name of the card trick so l tried searching but couldn’t find it…

What he did was got his deck of cards and put it on the floor, then he spread them across the floor, then he asked me to pick which one was 8 of Hearts, then he got me to pick 2 others and then he picked one. Then he asked me what one he wanted to find first and I said 8 of Hearts then he tapped the card twice and showed it to me and it was the 8 of Hearts, the other 2 also were the cards he wanted me to pick!

   I’ve seen many versions of this trick and all of them have different names, but the method is all the same. Check out books by Henry Hay or Walter Gibson and look for effects that involve a technique called one-ahead method. Good Luck
