Card trick?

He gave me two random cards.
Then he said put them back in the deck anywhere together or seperate.
Then he threw the deck of cards and there were two left in his hand and they were my cards!
He didnt hold where i put them or anything so can someone please tel me how this one is done? Thanks

Is the deck of card always in his hand? he can keep a secret finger break at the location of the card, do a pass to control the card to the top and be palmed off.
Or, he could do a steal, with the finger break, secretly steal the card into right hand palm position
Maybe he could also perform some multiple card control sleight, again to control the cards to the top or the bottom, then the cards are palmed before he trow the rest off.
at least thats how the card is in his hand. the card is being palm. Either classic palm or tenkai palm, between the thumb and base of your palm
It all depends on every little casual move he do after you put the card in the deck
if he cut the deck, its probably a multiple card control technique
there are many ways to perform the trick. its hard to guess without actually seeing him do it
