Here’s a cool one that somebody showed me. You will need to be sitting at a table. The person you do this trick to will think they picked the card.
You start out with a full deck of cards and pick somebody to participate. Have them shuffle. Take the deck from them and try to see the bottom card without them noticing. Set the deck ontop of your lap under the table, let them know you are doing this. Let’s say the bottom card is the 2 of Clubs (2C). Have your participant pick two of the four suits. They pick Hearts and Spades, since you have Clubs, tell them you are going to get rid of those suits. Now have them pick one of the remaining suits, Clubs this. Since you have Clubs, tell them you are going to keep it and get rid of Diamonds. Remember, they don’t know you know what the bottom card is, don’t give away this information. Now that you have it narrowed down to one suit C, have your person pick two of these three categories- Ace thru 5, 6 thru 10, and Jack thru King. Lets say they pick Ace thru 5 and Jack thru King. You have the 2C you have going to get rid of the 6 thru 10. Have them now pick one of the two remaining categories. They pick Jack thru King, and you get rid of it. Have them pick 3 of the 5 card, A 2 3 4 5. They pick A 3 5, get rid of them. Have them pick one of them two. After that eliminate the other one. So you have it narrowed down to the 2C. Ask them, “How many tries will it take me to pull the 2C from the deck under the table?” They say 3. Pull the first two from the top, and the third one from the bottom (which is the 2C). They are shocked and amazed.
