  1. John McCorpse says:

Move a powerful magnet around underneath a tabletop, with a piece of iron on top of the table. Try disguising the piece of iron so that it appears to be something else. So its not obvious right off that magnetism is the key. Then you can move the magnet around underneath the table, while moving your hand over the piece of iron, making it look like you’re moving the object with the amazing powers of telekinesis.

  2. Two glasses.
One containing water with a trace of Phenolphthalein indicator.
The other with a trace of a strong alkali.
Pour the contents of the first glass into the second….low and behold…”red” wine (more deep pink really)
This only works once since the solution is now alkaline and will not easily turn back to colourless. UNLESS you have a third glass with either a trace of strong acid OR a trace of bleach.

  3. 1) Take a solution of 50% water and 50% alchohol.

Dip a paper piece in it and take it out. Now burn the paper.
By your surprise you’ll see that the paper has not burned and it is dry again.
It would be more interesting if you do it with currency notes (if legal), and still more interesting if you take those notes from the viewers.

PS. Be careful. If you do not prepare a good mixture, you’ll really burn the note. So, if you are ready to take the challenge and burn the note, firstly check the solution with a waste paper.

  4. ok try this:

Lift a dollar bill off a table without touching it with your hands!

    The trick:
You will need a strong magnet - such as a neodymium - an dollar bill, and some string. Tie the string around the magnet lower the magnet to the dollar. the iron in the dollar’s ink will be attracted to the magnet. once the magnet has attached to the dollar, lift it slowly from the table.
