So my friend tells me to pick a random card and place it anywhere back into the deck. He then shuffles it. After, he separates the cards into piles of 3. He tells me to pick one pile, (its faced down) and he removes it. He does that until there is 1 pile left. He tells me to pick one of those 3 and the one i picked is my card. It left me with a WTF look on my face.

If anybody can identify it and tell me where i can find instructions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Some magicians ask people to name any card. For example, the four of hearts. He then looks in the volunteers eyes and says, “It’s red…It is a heart…it’s the four of hearts.” Is it all scripted, or is there a way?
i should have clarified. The magician doesn’t actually hand them a deck of cards. He asks people to THINK of a card. From there, he predicts it.
