So my friend tells me to pick a random card and place it anywhere back into the deck. He then shuffles it. After, he separates the cards into piles of 3. He tells me to pick one pile, (its faced down) and he removes it. He does that until there is 1 pile left. He tells me to pick one of those 3 and the one i picked is my card. It left me with a WTF look on my face.

If anybody can identify it and tell me where i can find instructions, it would be greatly appreciated.

The guy fanned a silver-backed card deck out on the table, then told me to pick one and look at it without showing him. It was an 8 of spades. I put it back in the deck and he shuffled and cut it. He told me the card would reveal itself. He fanned the cards back out on the table and one of the cards was no longer silver, but blue, it was my card. He then set my now blue-backed 8 of spades aside, face down. He showed me the silver-backed Ace of spades and told me it would reveal itself. He shuffles the cards again (leaving the 8 of spades on the table), fanned the cards again, but nothing happened. He made a surprised sound and said “look!” He picked up the 8 of spades he had left on the table and it was now a blue-backed Ace of spades.
this was not a trick deck, it was one provided by my work. He showed me the cards in the deck, and they weren’t all 8s of spades, and he fanned them out face down. Plus, he was wearing short sleeves
