Heres how it goes.
Magician takes 2 cards. Folds one lengthwise and folds the other widthwise.
Puts the lengthwise folded card into the widthwise folding card.
Slide the lengthwise card back and forth and on one end, the lengthwise card will be faced out and the other end is faced in.

The magician will ask people for a random suit and a random number. He or she will pull out a deck of cards, and spread them out all face up, there is one card face down, and that face down card is the chosen card. There are many variations to this trick but that is the bare bones of it.
