Ellusionist is highly respected and I've never heard of this. Contact them to find out what's going on. Also, contact FedEx if you can and ask them what is going on. My guess is this;
Ellusionist is in the USA. It ships by a variety of ways. For overseas, probably by Airmail. So, there is a cost for sending it to the be airmailed. Then, there are probably some international importing fees. Then, there's a charge for FedEx to deliver it to you.
My guess is that FedEx covers the charges, but Ellusionist doesn't. FedEx wasn't who you were ordering from, so they don't need to deal with international charges. Ellusionist is who you ordered from and they want the money it cost them to ship by airmail and for them to pay fees to ship it. My guess is they want to be paid for the fees it cost for them to ship it overseas. Now, why in different letters I'm not sure on. |

You are right. It was the importing fees charged to ellusionist not FedEX. I checked on this and Ellusionist replied;
"This charge occurs to all of our customers outside the USA. We are sorry for the unexpected hassle we have caused you."
I will try and find some UK based Magic shops, and thank you supermuncher for reccomending cards4magic. |

| Mjm is based in the USA so you might get that from them also. I'd stick with cards4magic or find a local magic dealer. |
